VIAGS TAN SON NHAT OFFICERS DISCOVER TWO FOREIGN PASSENGERS USING COUNTERFEIT TRAVEL DOCUMENTS TO EXIT

In order to motivate and reward the officers who accomplish excellent achievements in service works, on the morning of March 21, 2019, at the meeting room on the 4th floor – VIAGS’s Operation Center, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat organizes a prize award ceremony for 02 employees of Airlines Customer Services Center, namely: Mr. Pham Nguyen Thien Vu – Deputy Head of International Passenger Team 1 and Mrs. Le Thi Hong Anh – Officer of International Passenger Team 1. Attending the ceremony, there are Board of Directors and leaders of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat’s departments/ centers.

In particular, during the process of serving the flight AF253 route SGN – CDG on January 27 and January 29, 2019, Mr. Thien Vu and Mrs. Hong Anh promptly inform Tan Son Nhat Border Gate Police about 02 foreign passengers who are under suspicion of using invalid passports, residence cards and European visas, attempting to exit from Tan Son Nhat to Europe on Air France flights. After the proper investigation, Border Gate Police identify 02 foreign citizens of Afghanistan and Bangladesh, who use counterfeit European visas and residence cards attempting to entry – exit illegally, and execute in accordance with the laws:

Recently, the issue of passengers fabricating identity documents such as: illegal passports, residence cards and visas has been increasing. According to the statistics in 2018, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat officers detected 558 cases of using fake travel documents. From the beginning of 2019, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat officers have discovered 60 cases of counterfeit travel documents. The leaders of Tan Son Nhat Border Gate Police deliver the commendation letters to praise the extraordinary level of awareness, responsibility and professional skills and expertise of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat officers.

At the end of the ceremony, on the behalf of Board of Directors, Deputy Director – Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hung praises the spirit of alertness and sense of responsibility of the two officers of Passenger Services Teams, and also requires the two mentioned Passenger Services Teams to inform all of the officers about special cases related to travel documents in order to improve the staffs’ awareness and sense of alertness, ensuring high security and safety of all the in-charge flights.
