PHILIPPINE AIRLINES EXPANDS NETWORK TO HO CHI MINH CITY

At 00:55 on May 3, 2025, at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, VIAGS warmly welcomed the inaugural flight PR587, carrying 169 passengers from Mactan-Cebu International Airport (Philippines) to Ho Chi Minh City. The return flight PR588, with 84 passengers, departed at 01:55, both operated by Philippine Airlines. The launch of this new route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Lapu-Lapu City, with a frequency of three flights per week, marks a new milestone in Philippine Airlines' expansion in the Vietnamese market. It also reinforces VIAGS’s commitment to consistently supporting and accompanying airlines.
 
Currently, Philippine Airlines operates eight flights per week between Manila (Philippines) and Ho Chi Minh City. The addition of three weekly flights from Lapu-Lapu City increases the total number of Philippine Airlines flights serviced by VIAGS to 11 per week. Starting from July 2025, Philippine Airlines is expected to operate an additional five weekly flights from Manila to Da Nang, bringing the total number of weekly flights serviced by VIAGS to 16. This development reflects the growing trust and strong partnership between the two sides and represents an important step in Philippine Airlines’ network expansion, offering passengers more convenient and time-saving travel options between dynamic cities in the region.
